Manatee business robbed by trio of gunmen Saturday night

MANATEE -- Six persons were robbed by masked gunmen who burst into U Lucky Dog, 5300 block of U.S. 41 N., about 9:41 p.m. Saturday, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

The gunmen ordered everyone to the ground and had the victims empty their pockets. They took cash, cellphones and other small valuables, and left within about one minute. Also taken was a large sum of money from the business, according to the sheriff's report.

No one was injured during the robbery. The gunmen fled in an unknown vehicle.

The gunmen wore dark clothing, masks and gloves. They were reported as being from 20-30 years of age, 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 11 tall, and weighing 190 to 220 pounds.
