Greg Steube with the annual Friend of Community Associations and CAI Florida Legislative Alliance legislative award. The award recognizes Steube as a distinguished legislator and applauds his advocacy in legislative and regulatory matters impacting community associations and CAI members across Florida.
Manatee Forum to meetfor speed campaigning
BRADENTON -- Manatee Forum, Republican Women Federated, will meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 30 at Pier 22, 1200 First Ave. W.
Guest speaker Javier Manjarres, aka El Sharko, promises to tick off moderate Republicans and liberal Democrats with his discussion of politics.
The evening will also include speed campaigning -- a chance for guests and members to chat one-on-one with candidates as they move from table to table.

Manatee Republican women to hear candidates
BRADENTON -- The Women of Manatee County Republican Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 2 at Bradenton Country Club, 4646 Ninth Ave. W.
The main speaker will be Marianne Barnebey, who is running for mayor of the City of Bradenton. Other speakers are Larry Bustle for county commissioner and Mike Bennett who is running for supervisor of elections.
