Dechamps, Gregory & Hayes Insurance of Bradenton has hired Alex Chavez, former president of the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce, as vice president of sales and commercial account executive. Chavez brings more than 30 years of commercial insurance experience to the firm. He previously owned JCB Insurance in Sarasota.

Ann Kathryn Breitinger has joined Blalock Walters' business and health care practice groups. Breitinger counsels clients regarding entity formation, business governance issues, business transactions and health care transactional and regulatory matters. She also audits and analyzes arrangements under fraud and abuse, fee-splitting statutes, Stark II, related anti-referral laws, HIPAA and HITECH Act and Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations.

Allison Nash has joined the staff at the State College of Florida Foundation as the scholarship coordinator. She will work with benefactors, students, local civic associations and schools to help assure that students in need of financial support to achieve their educational goals.

New members on the Easter Seals Southwest Florida board of directors include Laurie Hagberg, John Berkey, Dave Herbert, Beverly Hunter, Jan Hurley, Meridian Kristi, Kristen Jensen, Harvey Ruiz and Frank Zilleckis. Shirley Garneski has joined the foundation board.

Dick Woodall has joined Beacon Aviation Insurance Services Inc. He has experience in commercial insurance and he spent 10 years in the United States Air Force as a training and education manager, specializing in multi-location flying squadrons.

Several new agents have joined Wagner Realty. They include William VanArtsdalen Jr., who previously was a director in the real estate division of WaWa, a convenience store and gas station chain based in the northeast; Barbara Billings, a real estate broker from Columbus, Ohio, with 20 years as a real estate broker and appraiser; and David Foster, who has been a Realtor for 12 years.

Realtor Jan Sundahl with Re/Max Alliance Group is a recurring guest on Fox News. She was part of a Fox News panel during the Republican National Convention in Tampa and commented on Florida real estate and the changes to the market over the past four years.

Donald M. Jankowski, vice president of Gateway Bank and financial adviser in the 6204 Lockwood Ridge office of Raymond James Financial Services Inc., recently completed the financial planner series for small business at the Raymond James Financial Center.

Renee Martone-Cecil, financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial in Sarasota, has been named a recipient of the 2012 Five Star Wealth Manager award by Five Star Professional. The award goes to fewer than 7 percent of the wealth managers in the region.
