Eat Here Siesta Key to open in January

SIESTA KEY -- Sean Murphy, owner of the award-winning Beach Bistro and Eat Here restaurants in Sarasota and on Anna Maria Island, is opening a third Eat Here location on Siesta Key, which is scheduled to open in January.

The restaurant will be located at 240 Avenida Madera, Siesta Key.

Eat Here provides chef-crafted cookery with presentations of local farm products, fresh, locally-caught seafood, pizza and taco cuisine, fruit-infused cocktails and craft beer and wine.

Tijuana Flats is opening new location

MANATEE -- Tijuana Flats, known for its fresh Tex-Mex food, is opening its new location Monday at 5215 University Parkway.

The 2,305-square-foot restaurant will accommodate indoor and patio seating for 106 customers.

Beauty Plus awarded accreditation

BRADENTON -- Beauty Plus Wigs Hats & Lingerie, Inc. has received a three-year accreditation award in mastectomy services by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc.

Green Business Roundtable Monday

LAkEWOOD RANCH -- From 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, the second annual Green Business Roundtable will be hosted by the Green Business Leadership Council of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.

The event will take place at the Gold Coast Eagle Distribution Center, 7051 Wireless Court, Lakewood Ranch.

The Hyatt Regency Sarasota and Tervis Tumbler, as well as Aaron LeMieux, the inventor and entrepreneur of the nPower Personal Energy Generator, will share presentation at the forum.

"Green Innovation and Entrepreneurial Spirit" is the topic of the speech by LeMieux, Tremont Electric nPowerPEG, Cleveland, Ohio.

Cost is $20 which includes drinks and appetizers. A $45 combo ticket will provide attendance to the Green Business Roundtable and Sustainable Communities workshop on Oct. 30.

Twelve Oaks Assessment opening new facility

BRADENTON -- Twelve Oaks Assessment & Resource Center is opening a new clinic at 9030 58th Drive E., Suite 103.

The Envision Counseling Services will provide addiction treatment services and act as a link

between healthcare service providers and local citizens.

New air-conditioning company opens

SARASOTA -- Veteran Air, a Sarasota air conditioning company, has opened at 5002 Lena Road by veteran and local resident Kevin Henault.

Veteran Air technicians have a minimum five years of air conditioning and heating experience.

Veteran Air honors veterans with a program that provides free and discounted products and services to military veterans. Air conditioning and heating customers have the option of donating to the fund, which has already helped two veterans.
