Because of the threat of severe weather related to the passing of Hurricane Sandy, Broward County Schools canceled or postponed all outdoor sporting events Thursday and Friday.
According to the Broward County Athletic Association, the scheduled football and swimming events such as district games that were postponed will be made up either on Saturday or Monday.
Cardinal Gibbons’ football game against American Heritage was one that was believed to be rescheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Heritage, but the BCAA said official confirmation of when games will be made up will likely come Thursday.
