Nov. 7: Manatee County Soil & Water Conservation District Speech Contest, open to the public, 6:30 p.m. 1303 17th St. W., Palmetto
Nov. 10: 4H Rabbit Show, 8 a.m. registration, 9 a.m. start. Cook Arena at Manatee Fairgrounds, 1402 14th Ave. W., Palmetto. Free to the public.
Nov. 13: Kiwanis Club Luncheon/Agriculturist of the Year (invitation only); Leadership Manatee Tour (invitation only).
Nov. 14: Manatee County Agriculture Hall of Fame Luncheon. Open to the public at noon. Tickets are $12. Manatee County Farm City Week essay winners honored. Palmetto Women's Club, 910 Sixth St. W., Palmetto
Nov. 15: Ag Venture, hands-on workshops and agricultural experiences. Open to select Manatee County third graders.
Nov. 16: Agricultural Farm Tour (Dakin Dairy, Char-O-Lot Ranch, Duette Preserve, Gary Reeder Farm, Bunker Hill Vineyard and Winery): Open to the public. Cost: $40. Tour 1: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; Tour 2: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Tours leave from Manatee Extension office at 1303 17th St. W., Palmetto
Nov. 17: Farm City Week Beef Workshop & Prospect Show. 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. Manatee County 4H and FFA members. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $15 per head of beef shown; no cost for showmanship. Open to the public. Mosaic Arena at Manatee Fairgrounds 1402 14th Ave. W., Palmetto
