Goblins and other kiddie-size creatures invade G.T. Bray

HERALD STAFF REPORTOctober 20, 2012

BRADENTON -- A sea of small children dressed as movie stars, pirates, aliens, wild animals and even candy invaded G.T. Bray Park on Friday for the annual Goblin Gathering.

"We do this every year," said Wanda Posey, a grandmother, who dressed as a brown M&M to go with her M&M-clad grandchildren, Hunter Toller, 2, Nathan Larochelle, 7, Andrew Tolar, 4, David Posey, 9, Hailey Posey, 7, and her daughter, Jennifer Tolar.

Goblin Gathering is held in conjunction with National Night Out and hosted by Manatee County Parks and Recreation.

The event featured a costume contest, face painting, hayrides, bounce houses and an 18-foot inflatable slide.
