Debbie Dial has joined Re/Max Alliance Group as a sales associate in the Anna Maria Island Office. She has 32 years of real estate experience, and previously worked with Keller Williams on the Water in Bradenton and A Paradise Realty on Anna Maria Island.

Dr. Eric M. Folkens, owner of Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch/Sarasota Urgent Care Walk-In Clinics, has earned the title of "Fellow" of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Ron Tuerk had joined First Brokerage America, LLC, an affiliate of First Bank, as afinancial consultant in the Bradenton area. His office will be in First Bank's 4601 Manatee Ave. W. branch.

Rapid Pathogen Screening Inc. has appointed Caroline Popper and Hanjoon Ryu as independent members of its board of directors. Popper held senior leadership positions at corporations such as Becton Dickinson & Co. and MDS Proteomics, Inc. and co-founded an advisory consulting firm. Ryu held senior leadership positions with Dade Behring Inc. and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.

Daniel R. Strader has joined the Sarasota office Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP as an associate in the employment and labor law department.

Mark Rusch has joined Re/Max Alliance Group as a sales associate in the Manatee Avenue Office. He has 25 years of experience in real estate, including 10 years in an Atlanta Re/Max office.

Realtor Marc Mailloux has joined the Manatee Avenue office of Re/Max Alliance Group. He previously worked for Re/Max Gulfstream. He specializes in residential duplexes, multifamily properties, canalfront homes, short sales and REOs.

Mary Pickup, Gateway Bank officer and assistant banking center manager, is volunteering in United Way of Manatee County's "ReadingPals" program, an early literacy initiative in 10 Florida regions.

Jeanne Corcoran, director of the Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office, a division of the Economic Development Corp. of Sarasota County, has been elected to the board of directors of the Association of Film Commissioners

International. With more than 300 members on almost every continent, the AFCI is the worldwide professional organization for film commissioners who assist film, television and video production.

Toddy Jadoo was selected as the Woman of the Month for the Successful Women Aligning Together organization.

Jennifer B. Compton, partner in the Sarasota office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, will moderate an SM2 Regional Workforce Development breakfast series Nov. 15 at Marina Jack Restaurant. The SM2 breakfast series brings together leaders from Sarasota and Manatee counties to share insight on various economic topics.

Janet K. Ginn has been hired by Manatee Glens as chief development officer. She will be responsible for raising philanthropic funds for Manatee Glens and will assist the Manatee Glens board in maintaining its commitment to community care. Ginn has raised more than $100 million philanthropic dollars in 32 countries and all 50 states.

Matthew Bornstein is celebrating 17 years as sales and marketing director at Rosedale Realty.

Donna Roach, formerly a real estate broker in Indiana, has joined Wagner's El Conquistador office. She has been a real estate broker since 1986 and was a nurse in her first career.

The Florida Hospital Association installed its 2012-13 executive officers and trustees at its annual meeting. Elected as trustees were Gwen MacKenzie, president/CEO, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, and George Mikitarian, president/CEO, Parrish Medical Center.
