No one hurt in Bradenton drive-by shooting

October 8, 2012

MANATEE -- A drive-by gunman fired several shots at a Bradenton residence late Sunday. No injuries were reported, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 11 p.m., a dark red or burgundy 1990s Mustang convertible with a black top drove by a residence in the 700 block of 56th Avenue Drive East. The vehicle turned around at the dead end and then stopped in front of the residence, opened the window and yelled, asking for a person by name, according to a news release.

The man, who was the only person in the vehicle, then fired into the residence three to five times. He then fled, last seen turning onto 57th Avenue East, according to the sheriff's office.
