Trampled Under Foot at Aces Live in Bradenton

October 4, 2012

One of the most buzzed about acts on the blues scene of recent years, Trampled Under Foot makes a highly anticipated stop at Aces Live today in Bradenton.

Winners of the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in 2008 and the Band of the Year winner at last year's Blues Blast Music Awards, the Kansas City-based TUF features equally talented siblings Danielle (lead vocals, bass), Kris (drum, vocals) and Nick (guitar, vocals) Schnebelen.

Danielle has a strong, engaging voice with a raspy edge that works well over the band's crisp blues shuffles, boogies and late-night R&B numbers propelled by drummer Kris. Nick's impressive bent-note solos and slashing slide guitar fills round out the award-winning attack.

Details: 9 p.m. Oct. 4, Aces Live, 4343 Palma Sola Blvd., Bradenton. Tickets: $10 (advance), $15 (door). Information: 941-795-3886 or aceslivemusic.com.
