Before the company's main season launches later this month, the only two public performances of "Macbeth" on an Asolo Repertory Theatre stage can be seen today.
The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training Program's production, adapted from the play by William Shakespeare, is being presented as part of Asolo Rep's "New Stages Shakespeare for All" campaign.
A special opening night reception will be held between the performances and is included in the ticket price.
Following today's public performances, "Macbeth" will embark on a two-month tour of high schools, middle schools and community organizations across Florida.
Details: 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Oct. 4, Cook Theatre at the Florida State University Center for the Performing Arts, 5555 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Tickets: $25. Information: 941-351-8000 or www.asolorep.org.
