Chamber Expo 2012 planned for Nov. 7
MANATEE -- The Chamber Expo 2012 is planned for Nov. 7 at the Bradenton Area Convention Center.
The event will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. All attendees are $10 at the door.
Chamber members will be exhibiting their products and services at this multi-chamber business after hours and exposition. The event will feature over 250 exhibits, door prizes, cash bars, and complimentary appetizers.
CPA firm launches new website

Ageless living seminar offered Oct. 24
SARASOTA -- The "Simple Solutions for Ageless Living" free seminar sponsored by 20 Minutes to Fitness will explore the causes of an unhealthy body and demonstrate how a person, regardless of their age, can effectively improve their health and greatly enhance their chance for a healthy life.
The seminar will be held at Keiser College Auditorium, 6151 Lake Osprey Drive, Sarasota Oct. 24 from 6:30-8 p.m., with registration beginning at 5:45 p.m.

Hallmark Cards to close Topeka, Kan., plant
TOPEKA, Kan. -- Hallmark Cards Inc. announced plans Tuesday to close its Topeka facility and shed about 300 jobs as it consolidates its Kansas operations at its remaining plants in Lawrence and Leavenworth.
About 500 people work at the Topeka plant.
