No arrests in shooting that leaves 1 critically hurt at Bradenton apartments

MANATEE -- A 27-year-old man was shot in the parking lot of a Bradenton apartment complex late Sunday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Deputies responding to reports of a shooting arrived at the Braden Lakes Apartments, 2900 50th Ave. W., and found the injured man. He was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, where he was in critical condition, according to a report.

According to a news release, witnesses told investigators that two men approached the victim and shot him, then fled in a dark-colored sedan out of the complex.
