20 percent chance of rain forecast for Manatee

There is a 20 percent chance of rain in Manatee County Sunday and Sunday night, says the National Weather Service.

The forecast:

Sunday: Partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the late morning and afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s along the coast and in the lower 90s inland. South winds around 5 mph becoming southwest around 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows in the mid 70s near the coast and in the lower 70s inland. Light winds becoming southeast around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday: Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 80s along the coast and around 90 inland. South winds around 5 mph becoming southwest around 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.
