"Live from downtown, it's Friday Night" will be 6-9 p.m. Sept. 28 and every fourth Friday of the month featuring live performances by Sarasota's premier entertainers and performing arts organizations and enjoy shopping at a unique mix of boutiques, galleries, and salons.. Film Fridays at the South Florida Museum: 201 10th St. W., Bradenton

Progressive Tampa Boat Show: Tampa Convention Center, 333 South Franklin St., Tampa

The 2012 Progressive Insurance Tampa Boat Show will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sept. 28-30 featuring the marine industry's newest boats and marine accessories for sale and aquatic attractions for all ages. There will be interactive features for families and boaters of all levels, scuba lessons for anyone ages 10 and older, and complimentary boating courses and Fred's Shed DIY seminars and interactive learning center classes for free professional advice and hands-on clinics on boat maintenance, repair and upgrade techniques. "Oktoberfest 2012": The German American Society of Pinellas County, 8098 66th St. N., Pinellas Park

The German American Society of Pinellas County will host "Oktoberfest 2012" 4 p.m.-midnight Sept. 28-29, Oct. 5-6 and Oct. 12-13 at. The event is a faithful representation of the real Munich Oktoberfest featuring authentic German beers, food, folk dancers, bands, vendors, costumes, decorations and atmosphere based on history, tradition and activities such as the Parade of Flags and Keg Tapping ceremonies.
