The State College of Florida volleyball team finished off a 4-0 weekend at the SCF Invitational by defeating College of Central Florida, the No. 1-ranked team in Florida and the sixth-ranked team in the nation.
The Manatees (16-3) claimed a 16-25, 25-19, 15-25, 25-20, 31-29 win over College of Central Florida (14-4). Earlier, SCF, ranked No. 3 in the state and No. 11 in the nation, defeated Palm Beach State College 25-13, 25-15, 25-22.
Kierston Smith recorded 73 assists and 10 kills for the day. Tessa Alyman had 29 kills and 27 service points, Natalie Fraley added 36 digs and 19 points, and Braden Rivers Brittany Jaco had 24 digs. Danielle Williams came up with 18 kills, and Southeasts Brittane Hunter had 13 kills.
