Prep golf | Lakewood Ranch boys end winning streak

— The Lakewood Ranch boys golf team suffered its first loss since 2010, finishing third out of nine teams at the Olympia Titan Invitational on the Hammock Beach Ocean Course.

The Mustangs (20-2), who went 103-0 last season on the way to a Class 2A state title, shot a 309, seven shots back of winner Benjamin School. Ramsey Touchberry led the way for Ranch with a 76. Ben Boulch had a 77, and Danny Walker, Spence Schultz and Luke Miller had 78s.

Taylor Funk, the son of PGA Tour player Fred Funk, won the tournament with a 70. He plays for Ponte Vedra.
