Foreclosure rates decrease in Manatee, Sarasota in June

MANATEE - Foreclosure rates in North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota decreased in June compared to the same period last year, according to newly released data Thursday from CoreLogic.

The data reveals that the rate of North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 10.88 percent for the month of June, a decrease of 1.29 percentage points compared to June of 2011 when the rate was 12.17 percent. Foreclosure activity in North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota was higher than the national foreclosure rate which was 3.27 percent for June.

Also in North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased. According to CoreLogic data for June 2012, 15.28 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared to 16.40 percent for the same period last year, representing a decrease of 1.12 percentage points.
