HILLSBOROUGH -- A single-engine airplane with three people on board made a hard landing in the median of Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County on Thursday morning.
No one was injured when the plane landed near Gibsonton Road about 9:30 a.m.
The plane did not crash but sustained damage on landing. About 60 gallons of fuel may have spilled onto the ground, according to a news release. A hazardous material team was cleaning up the spill.
