After waking up at 6 a.m., I expected to be crawling through the double doors of the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. The high energy and engaging atmosphere I encountered upon entering the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance meeting hit me harder than a Starbucks venti double espresso. I quickly realized it wasn't just due to the magnificent aroma wafting from the kitchen.

Immediately, I entered the banquet room and was greeted with a multitude of friendly smiles all around. Watching this networking group inquire with one another on business and exchange contact information I understood they were not there for themselves, but for each other.

With a mission to "enhance our community through advocacy, economic development, enhanced business relationships, community service, and leadership," there is no doubt that the members of this networking group are there for just that … and the food.
