Faces in business: Lynne Koons

August 15, 2012

Title: Distributor salon consultant

Company: Beauty Systems Group

What was the best business advice you ever received?

To be consistent in whatever you do. As a distributor for Paul Mitchell products, people expect me to be consistent.

If you choose another profession, what would it be?

I would never choose another but if I had to choose I would be a lawyer. I always wanted to go to law school and become a lawyer to help people.

What's the biggest risk you have ever taken in your career?

What I am doing right now is learning to use all the social media: Twitter, Facebook, etc. Before it was just sales, now it's a whole lot more than sales. That transition is a risk, it's a learning curve and brings risks.

If you could travel the world where would you start?

Hawaii, at the Awapuhi Farm, that's where Paul Mitchell started 32 years ago.
