Bradenton Marauders | Rally thwarted in loss at St. Lucie

July 26, 2012

St. Lucie scored on a bases-loaded fielder’s choice in the bottom of the ninth to take the rubber match with Bradenton at Digital Domain Park.

The Marauders trailed for most of the game, until Kirk Singer ripped a two-run double in the top of the eighth to make it 5-4 Bradenton.

But the Mets scored on a Singer error in the eighth and won it in the ninth.

The Marauders nearly won the game despite being outhit 12-5. St. Lucie committed five errors.

Jameson Taillon took the loss, giving up four earned runs and eight hits in six innings.
