The Van Wezel is bringing in a fresh face for its latest edition of Friday Fest, the Sarasota venue's free, outdoor concert event.
Tampa Bay-based artist Adrian Ray "truly bridges today's country music with classic rock, a little bit of Southern rock and a whole lot of soul," reads the press release. "You will be amazed at the show he puts on!"
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and settle in to enjoy the music, sunset, food and beverage from local vendors and get in on some raffle prizes. Guided by emcee Cliff Roles, Friday Fest takes place rain or shine.
In the event of inclement weather, the festival will move indoors to the main hall of the Van Wezel. Bringing in food and drink from outside the festival is prohibited; coolers and weapons of any kind are also prohibited.
Details: 5:30-9 p.m. July 13, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trial, Sarasota. Tickets: Free. Information: 941-955-7676 or www.vanwezel.org.
