Chiles Restaurant Group Independence Day Fireworks Shows: various locations, Manatee County

The Chiles Restaurant Group's Independence Day celebration will showcase three days of family fun, fresh seafood and spectacular fireworks starting with the Fourth Annual Boom Boom onthe Bay Monday at MarVista Dockside Restaurant, 760 Broadway St.,Longboat Key, followedby the 19th annual Fireworks Extravaganza Tuesday atthe BeachHouse Restaurant, 200 Gulf Drive N.,Bradenton Beach, andthe grand finale with the 26th annual Sandbar Fireworks Spectacular Wednesday at the Sandbar, 100 Spring Ave., Anna Maria. The events will feature live music or DJ and all fireworks start shortly after dark, weather permitting. Nonreservation seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Palmetto's Fourth of July Celebration: Sutton Park, Sixth Street West and 10th Avenue West, Palmetto

The festivities start at 5 p.m. with the Cajun sounds of Louisiana band Tout Les Soir. Three Dog Night will take the stage around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Fireworks nearby along the Manatee River are from 9 to 9:30 p.m. Admission to all events is free. Local vendors will have a variety of food and refreshments available. Anna Maria Island Privateers Fourth of July Holiday Procession and Scholarship Award Ceremony: various locations, Anna Maria

The Anna Maria Island Privateers will be hosting its Fourth of July Holiday Procession 10 a.m. Wednesday beginning at Coquina Beach and ending at Bayfront Park in Anna Maria. The event is followed by the Privateers' Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony at an after-parade party at Cafe on the Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach from noon-4 p.m. featuring music and food and drink specials. Pier 22's annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration and Pig Roast: Pier 22 Restaurant, 1200 First Ave. W., Bradenton

Bring the entire family for the best Fourth of July party 6 p.m. Wednesday featuring live music by Shotgun Justice 6-10 p.m. and enjoy a pig roast or other restaurant offerings. Cost: $39.95. Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix Race: various locations, Sarasota and Manatee counties

Sunday: The annual Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix Boat Race will be held in two heats, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. off Lido Beach between New Pass and Big Pass

Wednesday: A special Independence Day "Fireworks Spectacular" will be at dusk with viewing along Sarasota Bayfront Park.
