Three East Manatee roads reopen to traffic

Upper Manatee River Road was clear of water Tuesday, but still threatened by a large pool of runoff near Rye Road. On Wednesday, county officials decided the threat had passed and reopened the road.

EAST MANATEE -- All three East Manatee County roads closed by high waters generated by Tropical Storm Debby reopened Wednesday.

Upper Manatee River Road was reopened this morning, Manatee County Public Works announced 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

This afternoon, the county officials announced that County Road 675 at Jim Davis Road and Jim Davis Road between C.R. 675 and Golf Course Road have reopened.

No Manatee roads remained closed because of rising waters.
