Woody Gross and Sherie Gillum of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Bradenton recently received the firm's Client Service Excellence award for being the No. 1 client service provider in their region and in the top 25 percent of client service providers in the country.
The honor was bestowed upon the team based on the results of a survey in which random clients were asked to rank the service they received from the teams of their local Edward Jones branch offices.
Foundation for Dreams Executive Director Jodi Franke was given the Community Leadership Award by the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the Teamsters National Black Caucus for her commitment to serving children with disabilities and chronic illnesses.

Mary Schmidt, an agent with Wagner Realty's West Manatee Office, traveled with 55 World War II veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., to visit their war memorial recently. The trip was an expression of thanks for their service to the country by the Bradenton Rotary Club and other Rotarians. Schmidt has been a member of the Rotary club for more than 20 years.

Tom Seguin, owner of Suncoast Gems in Bradenton, recently completed the American Society of Appraiser's GJ 205 class to recertify the Master Gemologist Appraiser designation. The three-day class was held in Las Vegas during the JCK Jewelry Show, the largest jewelry show in the United States.
