Pig roast benefits South Florida Museum

Published: February 24, 2012

Dozens attended the Pig Roast in the Woods on Sunday to benefit the South Florida Museum and its educational programs. The event, held at the home of John and Carol Rice, featured famous roast pig chef Bill Blalock and “The Parade of the Pig.” Judge Doug Henderson and his Manatee River Bluegrass Band performed, and there was a silent auction that raised hundreds of dollars for the museum.

Hosts included the Rices and co-chairs Ron and Rose Carlson.
