SARASOTA -- A Sarasota County school bus was involved in a traffic accident this morning at the Clark Road on-ramp for Interstate 75 , according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

There were no injuries aboard the school bus, which sustained damage of $3,000.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 1999 Dodge Caravan, was taken to Doctors Hospital with what were described as minor injuries. The Dodge sustained damage estimated at $7,000, according to the highway patrol.

The school bus driver was charged with failure to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic when making a left turn.
