Marion M. Almy of Sarasota has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Historical Commission.
Almy, 65, is the president of Archaeological Consultants Inc. She was reappointed for a term beginning Feb. 16 and ending Dec. 31, 2014.
Lori Morgan, senior director of Global Accounts with HelmsBriscoe, was awarded master’s club designation at the company’s annual business conference in Reno, Nev. in January. Master’s club recognizes the top 2 percent of the company’s 1200 associates located globally.
Frank Obringer has been named managing broker for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s East Manatee office on State Road 70 in Lakewood Ranch.
Obringer began his real estate career with Coldwell Banker in 1993 as a sales associate specializing in new construction, later becoming sales director of Coldwell Banker Warrendale in Pennsylvania. He has received the International President’s Club, and the Platinum, Centurion and Diamond Awards.

Raymond Reher, president and founder of Innovative CFO Solutions, recently spoke before the Management Club of the Mendoza Graduate School of Business at the University of Notre Dame. Reher, a Notre Dame graduate, discussed the topic “Business Consulting with Entrepreneurial Businesses.”

Sherri Mannix with HomeBanc has been promoted to vice president, deposit operations manager at the Lakewood Ranch office, 6230 University Parkway. She was formerly deposit operations manager at that location. She has been with HomeBanc since 2009 and has more than 28 years of banking experience.
Henry Rodriguez, chairman and chief executive officer of Woodmere Capital Group, has been assigned to serve on the audit and accountability committee of Space Florida, the State of Florida’s aerospace economic development agency. Rodriguez was appointed to the Space Florida board of directors by Gov. Rick Scott.
Rose Schnoerr and Marla Vignocchi have joined Wagner Realty’s downtown Sarasota office. The mother/daughter team has been selling real estate in the area since the 1980s.
Scott Woods has been named managing director and financial adviser of Baird’s Sarasota wealth management office. He will be joined by Dana W. McGuire, registered client relationship associate. Woods began his career nearly 30 years ago with A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. and most recently worked with Wells Fargo Advisors.
Toni Moore has joined Carlson Studio Marketing as account manager. She will be responsible for day-to-day client relations, project management and strategic consulting. Moore was formerly an account executive with Knight Marketing in Venice.
Three loan officers from Blue Skye Lending have been named Five Star Mortgage Professionals, a designation which recognizes mortgage professionals who provide quality service to clients. Marci Walker, managing partner and senior loan officer; David Freed, sales manager and senior loan officer; and Sue Mazik, senior loan officer; were chosen by clients, peers and industry leaders in an independent survey. Mazik has received the award four years in a row. No more than 7 percent of service professionals in a given market qualify for the designation.
