Sarasota investigators seek information on Mayflower Street burglary

SARASOTA -- The Sarasota Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential burglary that occurred about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Mayflower Street, Sarasota.

The suspect was captured on video surveillance knocking on the front door of the home. After receiving no answer, he walked around to the back of the home and entered through a rear door. The suspect can be seen exiting a short time later on the video.

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance with identifying the person captured in the video.

Suspect is described as a tall, thin 20- to 30-year-old male with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing brown hooded jacket, blue and brown plaid shorts, black low socks with white flip flops.
