EVANSVILLE 65, (17) CREIGHTON 57 -- Colt Ryan gave the host Purple Aces (12-12, 7-7 Missouri Valley) the lead for good by making a 17-footer with 3:08 to play, and Evansville closed the game on a 13-1 run to defeat the Bluejays (21-4, 11-3).
Kenny Harris scored 15 points to lead Evansville, which ended a six-game losing streak against Creighton.

(2) NOTRE DAME 74, SYRACUSE 55 -- Devereaux Peters had a season-high 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, Kayla McBride added 19 points, and the visiting Irish beat the Orange.
It was the 21st straight win for Notre Dame (24-1, 11-0 Big East) and improved its road record to 12-1 against Syracuse (15-10, 4-7), which lost at home by 41 points to No. 3 Connecticut two weeks ago.
Skylar Diggins, the Irish’s leading scorer, finished with 11 points, all in the second half.
(3) CONNECTICUT 56, (20) LOUISVILLE 46 -- Caroline Doty had 15 points to lead the visiting Huskies.
Doty, scoreless in her last game against Rutgers, made 5 of 11 3-point attempts. Tiffany Hayes added nine points and 11 rebounds before fouling out for UConn (22-2, 10-1 Big East).
Shoni Schimmel led Louisville (17-7, 6-5) with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Noteworthy
BIG EAST -- Memphis is the latest school to sign up for a spot in the new Big East.
A person familiar with the decision says Memphis is joining the Big East for all sports in 2013. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because an official announcement would be made today.
The Big East announced it would hold a teleconference with Commissioner John Marinatto, University of Memphis President Shirley C. Raines and Memphis Athletic director R.C. Johnson, though it did not give any details about what would be discussed.
