MANATEE - Someone dropped an incoherent person off in front of the Manatee County Courthouse at 1:45 p.m. today.

An EMS team was called and the individual was taken to an area hospital, said Officer D.M. Sullivan of the Bradenton Police Department.

"A Chevy Blazer pulls up in front of the courthouse and, in the back is a totally intoxicated man," Sullivan said. "They open the back door and just dump him out. It went out as a vehicle hitting a pedestrian but it wasn't."

Police are now interviewing the Blazer driver to see why they rolled the intoxicated man out at the courthouse.

"It was an odd place to do this," Sullivan said. "We have cameras here and caught the whole thing, including the license plate of the Blazer."

The drunk man could only mumble when asked why his friends deposited him at the courthouse, Sullivan said.
