SARASOTA -- IberiaBank has launched a community support program for 2012 aimed at giving back to local non-profit organizations and the community. Titled “i Gives Back,” the program will touch several sectors in the community including veterans, children, the elderly and less fortunate. Throughout the year, the bank will donate labor, serve as a collection point, or host an event to benefit a particular charity.
The “i Gives Back” program launches with a collection of used cell phones to be donated to Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, Inc. and Family Promise of Manatee County, Inc. All donated cell phones will be given to program participants at the respective shelter to be used for emergency 911 calls only, or donated for money through cellular company buy-back programs. Cell phones of all conditions and ages will be accepted, and donors are asked to clear the phone memory of any sensitive information.
DWY Landscape Architects implement new website
SARASOTA -- DWY Landscape Architects has launched a new website. In addition to a complete list of the firm’s projects, a gallery showcases a selection of completed designs. Intertape Polymer adds to product line
BRADENTON -- Intertape Polymer Group, a provider of industrial and packaging products, is now offering Angleguard brand edge and strap protectors to its iCushion Protective Packaging product line.
The protectors are constructed of multiple layers of recycled fiberboard glued together with a top sheet that fully overlaps around both sides of the board. They are designed to protect the edges and corners of unitized pallet loads from crushing, scratching and strapping damage. They also improve safety by providing additional stabilization to wrapped or strapped loads and guard against loads shifting while goods are in transit.
