MANATEE — A woman was robbed and pulled out of a man’s car by her hair Jan. 28, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim accepted a ride from a man and during the ride, the man stopped and robbed her of $40 in the 1000 block of Commerce Boulevard, an incident report said.

He then grabbed the woman by her hair and pulled her out of the car. The man tried to drag her away, but the victim freed herself and ran off.

The robber drove away, heading east on Commerce Boulevard, the report said.
