January 20, 2012

BOYNTON BEACH -- A missing 83-year-old man who suffers from dementia was found safe at Bethesda Memorial Hospital on Thursday, according to Boynton Beach Police.

James R. Stoltmann, was last seen leaving Macy’s at the Boynton Beach Mall at 5:48 p.m. Thursday.

Police scoured the city looking for him, checking with cab companies, Palm Tran, restaurants, stores and hospitals. They also sent out a reverse 911 to all residents in the area.

Police and family were concerned for Stoltmann’s safety because temperatures were supposed to drop to the 50’s overnight and he was prone to lying down anywhere and falling asleep once he became tired.
