MANATEE -- Scott Wheeler, executive director of the National Republican Trust PAC, former television producer and investigative journalist, will kick-off 2012 election for Manatee County Republicans with an address to the Republican Party of Manatee County at 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at Fête Ballroom at the Polo Grill, 10670 Boardwalk Loop, Lakewood Ranch.

Wheeler has appeared on programs like “Cavuto,” “Fox & Friends,” “The Ed Show,” “Kilmeade & Friends,” “Power & Money,” and “Stossel,” as well through his work with the National Republican Trust PAC, which spent millions of dollars in 2008 on television ads to defeat Obama.

The course is designed for anyone interested in good government who is considering running for office.
