MANATEE -- A naked 20-year-old man bashed his head into a deputy’s jaw while he was being placed under arrest Saturday morning, the sheriff’s office reports.

Several neighbors called the sheriff’s office to complain that a naked Andrew Goethe was ringing door bells in the 700 block of 44th Street Court West in Palmetto at about 6 a.m.

Goethe slammed his head into a deputy’s jaw while he was being escorted to a patrol vehicle, a media release said.

The deputy later drove himself to an emergency room and later released.

The release stated Goethe, who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time, was also transported to an emergency room.
