SARASOTA -- Local Prudential real estate companies Prudential Palms Realty and Prudential Lakewood Ranch Realty have acquired Hunt/Realty Express on Main Street in downtown Sarasota.
This marks Prudential’s seventh acquisition since opening in Sarasota in 2002.
“We are forging ahead with a growth plan that positions us as one of the region’s leading real estate companies,” said Helen Sosso, president and chief executive officer of Prudential Companies.
The new office is slated for a grand opening in mid-2011.
Welker named Sarasota EDC head
SARASOTA -- Randy Welker has been named the first economic development coordinator for downtown Sarasota.
The position, funded by the city, the Sarasota Chamber and the Downtown Improvement District, will be focused on improving the economic health of downtown Sarasota by increasing pedestrian activity, supporting and growing current business and attracting new ventures to downtown will enhance our community, grow the tax base and add more jobs.
Welker has more than 20 years of economic development experience.
Urgent Care plans March 31 ribbon cutting
