Roger Pettingell of Coldwell Banker residential real estate’s Longboat Key office has been recognized as the company’s top associate in Florida for sales volume in 2010. He brokered 36 sales that totaled $40.5 million last year, tops among agents in the Manatee/Sarasota market. He has brokered $975 million in sales during his 25-year real estate career.

Brenda Landers was a Realtor in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for more than 20 years. Bill Thurman retired after a 26-year career as a senior economist with the U.S. Department of Labor.
Loren Hegge has joined Century 21 All Aces as a sales associate. He is a retiree from Land O’Lakes, spent seven years in the Minnesota National Guard, and is a member of the national, Florida and local Realtor associations.
Sarasota city commissioners appointed Raul Elizalde, president and chief investment officer of Path Financial LLC Investment Management, to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall Advisory Board. Elizalde is a former Wall Street strategist who has advised portfolio managers across the U.S. and throughout the world, and made presentations to the World Bank, the Council of Foreign Relations, and other organizations throughout his career.
Dr. Robert S. Friedman recently became a partner with The Eye Associates. Friedman was a key member of Kantor Eye Institute in Sarasota for 10 years. He is a board certified ophthalmologist, specializing in glaucoma and cataract surgery.
Tanya Holland was appointed national sales manager of Bella Luna Services, Inc. She will be instrumental in strengthening Bella Luna’s core business and supporting the company’s increase of market share as well as improving the company’s sales strategies and development of key personnel.
Hal and Marlene Liberman have re-joined Michael Saunders & Co. in its southern Longboat Key office. The couple previously worked at Saunders from 1981 to 1994, when they left to pursue other business opportunities. They were most recently affiliated with Prudential Palms Realty.
Julie Riddell of Riddell Financial has been elected board chair of the New College Library Association. She has served on the board of directors for three years. Riddell has served as a board member for the American Cancer Society, Junior League of Sarasota, Sarasota Opera, the Manatee Players and the Sarasota Orchestra Association, and has chaired fundraising events for Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, Salvation Army, Heart Association and NCLA.
Renee E. Wyatt has joined Snyder Law Group as an associate in its Lakewood Ranch office practicing in the areas of general litigation and corporate defense. She holds a certification from ANACAPA Sciences in analytical investigation/forensic accounting and is a Florida Supreme Court certified county court mediator.
Michele Des Verney Redwine, Kim Dalglish and Fermin Miranda have joined the board of directors of Realize Bradenton. Redwine is an educator with 35 years of executive leadership experience in not-for-profit organizations, educational institutions and local government entities. Dalglish is director of marketing and business development at Shinn & Co., certified public accountants and consultants, and is a veteran marketer with an 18-year career in the newspaper business. Miranda is a banking executive with more than 20 years experience in the small business segment of the economy. He is focused on Small Business Administration and alternative investment property loans as vice president SBA at Fifth Third Bank.
Rich Guidotti has been appointed as vice president and general manager of AT&T mobility and consumer markets for west, central and north Florida. Guidotti previously held the same position for AT&T’s south Florida market for 11 years. In his new role, Guidotti is responsible for business development, product launches and revenue and customer growth.
Tracy Pritchard has returned to outpatient physical therapy at Bay Area Physical Therapy & Wellness’ Bradenton office. She was previously employed with Bay Area Physical Therapy from 1999 to 2002 and has spent eight years practicing physical therapy in the home health field.
The Community Foundation of Sarasota County has named Roxanne Jerde, an executive with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, as its next president and chief executive officer. Jerde is senior vice president for donor relations and education at the foundation, a $1.2 billion organization that is one of the largest community foundations in the nation.
Dr. Erik Walker has been appointed medical director of the Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch. Dr. Walker is a graduate of the University of Tennessee who became interested in shelter medicine through his volunteer efforts at spay/neuter clinics while attending school, his rescue work after Hurricane Katrina and most recently, his volunteer duties with the Sarasota Animal Rescue Coalition and Buddy’s Feral Cat program.
James M. Majirsky has been appointed as president of DwellGreen, a home services company founded in 2009. He will assume day-to-day management responsibility of the company while John Ferrari, DwellGreen’s founding president, will retain his role on the board of directors with a focus on public sector projects and strategic business relationships.

Professional photographer Jimmy White of Bradenton has joined the board of directors of Sea to Shore Alliance. His appointment was announced at the non-profit organization’s board meeting held in Palm Beach in December. He focuses on creating underwater photographs and video footage that support marine conservation.
