MANATEE -- A homeowner in Southern Pines Mobile Home Park confronted a man he saw trying to open a front window of his residence today about 6:40 a.m., according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report.

The man then broke the window and fled on foot. He was later seen running through Woodlands Retirement Community by a deputy and ordered to stop. When he refused, the deputy tased him in his back.

Christopher L. Moore, 41, was arrested and taken to jail. He faces charges of trespass, criminal mischief and resisting without violence.
