Foreclosure prevention clinic: Manatee Community Action Agency and St. Petersburg Neighborhood Housing Services Inc. will present a free foreclosure prevention clinic 5:45-7:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the MCAA meeting room, 302 Manatee Ave. E., Suite 306. The Sarasota Business Ethics Alliance: will host a monthly luncheon forum titled “Raising the Bar for Business Ethics in our Community” 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, 1000 Boulevard of the Arts. Women’s Resource Center of Manatee: Employment strategies programs are held at the WRC, 1926 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The programs consist of employment consulting on developing an effective job search, career exploration, networking, interviewing skills and resume review. There is no cost. Call 747-6797 for an appointment. The center is also sponsoring a 10-week class on “How to Start and Manage Your Business” from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays that began Aug. 16. Appraisals seminar: HomeBanc will sponsor a series of “Appraisals 2010” seminars to educate participants about how to secure sound appraisals in the era of the Home Valuation Code of Conduct. On Sept. 7, a seminar will be held in the John Ringling Room at Longboat Key Club, 301 Gulf of Mexico Drive. The fee is $15. On Sept. 8, Boca Royale Golf & Country Club, 1601 Englewood Road, will host a seminar. The cost is $6. On Sept. 9, a seminar will be held at Holiday Inn Lakewood Ranch, 6231 Lake Osprey Drive.
