Report: Pills sold to undercover Manatee officer

MANATEE — An undercover police officer arrested Thea Rimlinger on Wednesday night for selling 20 Lortab pills to him, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

Rimlinger, 50, sold the pain killers to the officer for $4 a pill. According to the report, Rimlinger also was charged with driving a 2004 Chevy Malibu that was reported stolen Aug. 23. The Malibu also had a tag registered to a 2001 GMC vehicle.

Police arrested Rimlinger after the transaction was completed. The incident occurred in a parking lot in the 6000 block of 14th Street West at about 5 p.m.

Rimlinger was charged with possession of rock cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking Hydrocodone and motor vehicle theft, the report said.

She has been convicted of similar charges in the past. According to the Manatee County Clerk of Courts web site, she was convicted of cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia several times between 1996 and 2006.

Rimlinger remained in jail Thursday night with a $27,120 bond, according to county jail website.
