Bradenton Christian School celebrates its 50th year by hosting the first on-campus game under the lights.

Here’s how the matchup breaks down:

Fort Myers Southwest Florida Chistian at Bradenton Christian

Where: Bradenton Christian

When: 7 p.m.

Scouting Fort Myers Southwest Florida Christian: The Kings begin their season under administrative probation with the Florida High School Athletic Association, but are eligible for the state playoffs, according to the Fort Myers News-Press. The Kings went 2-7 last season and averaged less than 40 yards per game on the ground. They do have a prolific pass-and-catch tandem of quarterback Andrew Hall and receiver Colton Catt — Hall threw for 1,651 yards last year, 808 of which went to Hall. Southwest Florida Christian struggled defensively last season, allowing 32 points per game.

Scouting Bradenton Christian: As if there wasn’t enough excitement coming off of an 8-2 season, the Panthers open Class 1B-District 6 play with their first ever night game on campus. Josh Clark fronts a big offensive line that should make life easier for quarterback Sean McCarthy and running back R.J. Schooler, both of whom have big play potential. But the Panthers are hoping to replicate last season’s performance on defense, when BCS allowed 92 points and recorded three shutouts.

The score: Bradenton Christian 28, Southwest Florida Christian 7.
