What: “Transcending Vision: American Impressionism 1870-1940”

When: now through Jan. 9

Where: Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg

Admission: $16 for adults, $14 for those 65 and older, and $10 for students seven and older with current ID. Through 2010, one child is admitted free with each paid adult courtesy of The Stuart Society of the MFA. Children younger than age 7 and Museum members are admitted free. Groups of 10 or more adults pay only $12 per person and children $8 each with prior reservations. Bank of America’s Museums on Us program allows its customers free museum admission the first weekend of every month. Customers must show bank card/ID.

Other: Super Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 18, a family-friendly day surrounding the exhibition with talks, storytelling and painting. No registration needed.
