BRADENTON - A missing 6-year-old Bradenton boy has been found.

The boy's mother Maria Apicella called police today who met her and the boy in Tampa, Bradenton police said. The child was unharmed.

Apicella had made statements that led investigators to believe that her son, Angel Perez, may be in danger.

Police said Apicella, a native of Cuba, took her son to a softball game on Saturday but didn't return home. She also did not answer calls from her husband, who on Sunday reported her and the child as missing.

The FBI was assisting with the investigation, police said.
