Bishop Planetarium Summer Film Series: South Florida Museum, 201 10th St. W., Bradenton

“Life on Earth” film series: Thursdays through Aug. 26. Model Train Social: Palmetto Historical Park, 515 10th Ave. W., Palmetto

The Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum’s second summer social will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 7 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 8. The Florida Garden Railroad Society will bring models trains, with setups including Thomas the Tank and Tropicana. There will be a visit from the Smurfs and their train.
