Melinda Alvarez has joined Manatee River Realty as a sales associate. She has seven years’ experience in residential real estate, is a certified luxury home marketing specialist and is a member of the National Association of Realtors.

Peter Wolff has joined Wagner Realty’s south Sarasota office as an associate. He specializes on Siesta Key properties and previously assisted industrial clients with their operations.

Two Coldwell Banker of Florida officials from Sarasota recently attended the Relocation Directors Council’s spring conference in Orlando. They are Glenda Philpot, regional vice president of relocation, and Annmarie Menz, relocation director. The meeting was comprised of panels and roundtables addressing critical employee-mobility issues faced by relocation and real estate professionals in today’s economic climate.

Linda Thompson has joined the St. Armands Circle office of Michael Saunders & Co. A Sarasota County resident since 1992, she is a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing and its Million Dollar Guild, and holds the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation.

Bob Kelly has joined the Siesta Key office of Michael Saunders & Co. He previously was a domestic and international hardwood broker for 15 years,

Aubrey Lynch and Aaron Mondon have been named principals in the firm of Christopher, Smith, Leonard, Bristow & Stanell P.A. Lynch specializes in estates and trusts, international tax and the healthcare industry. She joined CS&L in 2006. Mondon has 17 years of experience in tax, accounting, and auditing services. His focus is on individual, partnership, corporate and not-for-profit taxation. He also specializes in issues relating to real estate and construction.

The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee has named new members to the board of the Community Leadership Council.

They include Brittany Gleitsman, president of USF Sarasota-Manatee Student Government; John Ryan, president and chief executive officer of the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce; Jon Sams, STAR youth leader at Community Youth Development; Josh Tyrrell, vice president of USF Sarasota-Manatee student government; Florida Sen. Mike Bennett, R-Bradenton;

Steve Queior, president of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce; Cesar Gomez, former director of the Latin Chamber of Commerce; Stewart Stearns, president emeritus of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County; Grace Dieterich, chair emeritus 2010;

Mary Ann Robinson, community volunteer; Mark Richmond, president of Furniture Warehouse; and David Eckel, president of Wagner Realty and CLC chair; Matt Orr, founder of This Week in Sarasota/Sarasota HUB; Dan Friedrich of Blake Medical Center; and Allan Lane, economic development manager for the City of North Port.

David B. Wymer has been appointed vice president of commercial banking of M&I Bank, Florida region. Wymer was with First America Bank and has more than 17 years of industry experience.

Mike Koebel has joined M&I as mortgage banker. He was a reverse mortgage consultant with MetLife Home Loans. Koebel has more than 25 years of industry experience.
