Xena Vallone Realty moves to new office
SARASOTA — Xena Vallone Realty has signed a lease for expanded offices at 3562-A S. Osprey Ave. in Sarasota.
The new office, scheduled to open in August, nearly doubles the firm’s square footage and offers room to grow. Xena Vallone Realty has seven Realtors, four who hold the short sales and foreclosure resources certification, and one each who hold the green designation, accredited buyers representative designation and transnational referral certification.
Attorneys to present at ‘green’ conference
BRADENTON — Lewis, Longman & Walker attorneys will participate in the Florida Local Environmental Resource Agencies “Leveraging the Green Revolution” Conference July 28-30 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sarasota.
Maggie Mooney-Portale, Lori Dorman and R. David Jackson will present “Green Initiatives in Theory and Practice” and Erin L. Deady will present “Energy Improvement Districts and Other Grant Leveraging Techniques.”
Ludwig-Walpole recognized by Sarasota chamber
SARASOTA — The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce has presented Ludwig-Walpole Company Inc. with the Insignia Award for July. This award recognizes the achievement of quality customer service and commitment to the community.
Started in 1933 by Gerald E. Ludwig Sr. and Charles Walpole, Ludwig-Walpole has grown into an agency of 16 insurance specialists serving Sarasota, Longboat Key, Manatee and surrounding areas. The agency offers homeowners, automobile, and business insurance.
New College named a ‘best buy school’
SARASOTA — New College of Florida has been named a “best buy school” in the revised and updated 2011 edition of Fiske Guide to Colleges. The 45 “Best Buy Schools” — 21 public and 24 private from the United States, Great Britain and Canada — fall into the inexpensive or moderate price category with four or five star academic ratings. Institutions were selected based on the quality of academic offerings in relation to the cost of attendance.
Construction project featured in magazine
SARASOTA — A renovation project completed by Rock Solid Construction Group, Inc. was recently featured in Better Homes & Gardens 2010 Summer edition specialty publication, Kitchen & Bath Makeovers.
The kitchen featured was part of a total renovation of a villa condominium owned by Trudy Clark, owner of Solutions For Carefree Moving. The kitchen renovation was coordinated by Inndesign, Inc., a Sarasota custom cabinet company.
MGA sponsors team in fishing tournament
MANATEE — MGA Insurance Group was the sponsor of the winning team in the recent fifth annual Redfish Tournament, which raised $6,000 for Manasota ARC, Manasota BUDS and Manatee Children’s Services.
The winning team was Bob Permane and John Duey.
