7/5 Company briefs: Chamber adds 156 members

MANATEE — During the month of June, 156 businesses and organizations joined the Manatee Chamber of Commerce as members.

This year, 44 business volunteers helped recruit new members. The 156 new business members bring the Manatee Chamber’s total membership to 2,366 individual firms and organizations, which makes the chamber one of the largest in the Tampa Bay area.

Eaton to design, install solar system

MANATEE — Eaton Corp. will design and install a turn-key Solar Photovoltaic System at the Albuquerque, N.M., Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System. The scope of the $20 million contract includes designing and installing a 3.2-megawatt PV system throughout the site, including car port and roof-mounted arrays, as well as implementing a building-integrated system to help reduce demand from the local utility grid. This will be the largest PV system in New Mexico.

Michael Saunders records 40 luxury-home sales

MANATEE — Michael Saunders & Co. said it has handled 40 luxury-home sales in Manatee County so far this year.

The company has a 28 percent share of the luxury market, which includes properties worth more than $700,000, in terms of volume and units, a press release said.

Williams Wealth Group enhances website

BRADENTON — Williams Wealth Management Group Inc. has improved its website, www.WilliamsWealth360.com, adding WealthPlan a technology that provides each client a personal website to organize and view finances and important documents. The company also is providing a free monthly newsletter, 360 Perspectives, to visitors of the site.

Rectrix Aviation receives platinum rating

MANATEE — Rectrix Aviation’s charter operations have been recognized with a platinum rating by ARGUS International, Inc. A platinum rating is awarded for the highest level of safety ratings and is given to air charter operators who have demonstrated successful implementation of industry best safety practices relative to their operations and maintenance.

Easter Seals Southwest Fla. receives $10,000 grant

SARASOTA — Easter Seals Southwest Florida received a grant for $10,000 in architectural design services from COBROOKE, an architecture and design firm.

Architect Robert Vecchione will donate $10,000 in design services, as well as work with Easter Seals to put together a team of engineering, construction and landscaping professionals to complete a remodel and redesign of the Easter Seals facility.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott recognized by Expedia

MANATEE — The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Sarasota Bradenton on University Parkway has been recognized as one of this year’s Expedia Insiders’ Select Hotels. The website recognized the property for its outstanding guest service.

Be Creative launches brand for SkyTECH Solutions

MANATEE — Be Creative have launched a new brand for Illinois-based SkyTECH Solutions. They also will develop a new online presence and a comprehensive range of marketing collateral for the company. A new logo design was unveiled at a recent SkyTECH sales meeting in Chicago.
