Old Goats of DeSoto hold wine event at Bel Mare

The first Old Goats of DeSoto Wine and Food Tasting Event was held May 22 at Bel Mare at Riviera Dunes in Palmetto.

The event was hosted by current and past members of the Crewe of DeSoto, and chaired by Jamie Meade (Goat 2008-’09). More than 100 attended the event, catered by the Manatee Technical Institute Culinary Arts Program, who provided food pairings coordinated with wines from Stanley Lambert Wines and introduced by Susan Lambert Kopstad.

The sponsors included Stanley Lambert Wines, Bright House Networks, The Drift-In, Popi’s Place I and New Age Technology Solutions. Music was provided by the Manatee High School Orchestra.
